Hyderabad, April 23 -- Ms Pooja Shukla, a Ph.D. scholar from the Department of Plant Sciences at the University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship for 2026-2027.
The highly competitive fellowship will enable her to pursue advanced research in the United States. Currently working under the guidance of Dr M Muthamilarasan, Pooja's research focuses on the genetic basis of yield-related traits in foxtail millet, a climate-resilient crop, using advanced tools such as genome-wide association studies and comparative genomics.
