Itanagar, June 30 -- The Centre has stepped up its assessment of the flood situation in Arunachal Pradesh with union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Kiren Rijiju undertaking a two-day visit to the state to review the impact of recent floods and ongoing relief efforts.
The union Ministers arrived at Donyi Polo Airport, Hollongi, on Tuesday and were received by Chief Minister Pema Khandu. The visit follows directions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to assess the flood situation in Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring Assam.
As part of the visit, Khandu accompanied the union Ministers to flood-affected areas of Hoj and Potin in Keyi Panyor district to assess the extent of damage caused by recent floods and review ongoing relief, rehabili...
