Shimla, March 1 -- Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju laid the foundation stones for an Indoor Stadium and a Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) building at Bhanjraru in Chamba district on the second day of his visit to Himachal Pradesh.
The projects will be developed under the Prime Minister's Jan Vikas Karyakram at an estimated cost of Rs 7 crore for the stadium and Rs 9 crore for the ITI building.
Addressing a public gathering on Sunday, Rijiju said that understanding the challenges of hill regions requires direct engagement with the people living there.
He noted that regular visits to remote areas help policymakers assess local needs and plan development initiatives more effectively.
