Kolkata, May 30 -- union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar today launched the Swachha App in New Town, Kolkata, together with Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and the Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul.
Speaking at the launch event, Khattar said the Swachha App would play a significant role in helping cities across the country become cleaner and more efficient in waste management.
"A clean city is not only liked by its residents but also presents a great image outside the country," Khattar said, stressing that cleanliness enhances the quality of life for citizens while improving India's image among foreign visitors.
