Mumbai, July 27 -- union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Monday obtained permission from the Bombay High Court to file a civil suit against Meta, X, Google,and other entities over allegedly defamatory social media posts and deepfake content linking him and his family to the Centre's E20 ethanol-blended fuel policy.
Justice Abhay Ahuja granted Gadkari leave to institute the suit on the original side of the High Court after hearing submissions by Advocate Sandeep S Ladda, who appeared for the Minister.
