Patna, Feb. 24 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a three-day visit to Bihar from Wednesday to review issues relating to the state's "Seemanchal region", apparently those arising out of a large number of infiltrators residing there, officials said on Tuesday.

These infiltrators had earlier crossed the border from Bangladesh and other neighbouring countries, the officials said.

Shah will arrive in Purnia on Wednesday evening and go to Kishanganj where he is scheduled to hold a review meeting with senior civil and police officials to assess security measures, a sensitive issue in the bordering districts of Bihar, known as the Seemanchal region of the state.
