Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 1 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday criticised the union Budget, alleging the document reflects the Centre's persistent discrimination and apathy towards Kerala, effectively erasing the state from national development priorities.
Responding to the Budget presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Chief Minister said none of Kerala's long-standing demands found a place in the proposals.
Key requests such as the establishment of an AIIMS, seven semi-high-speed railway corridors, and a special financial package for the Vizhinjam port project were completely ignored.
