Srinagar, June 27 -- One person was killed and four others were injured after an old unexploded shell went off accidentally in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

According to officials, a blast was reported near the Sumli Wali Dhok close to the Line of Control in Gulmarg.

The deceased, a shepherd, was identified as Zubair Ahmad Bajad, a resident of Galibal, Chandoosa in Baramulla. He died on the spot, while four others sustained injuries and were shifted to a hospital for treatment.
