New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in the national capital on Friday to attend the 18th BRICS Summit, which will be held here on September 12 and 13.
Guterres was received at the airport by Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar.
"Warm welcome to Secretary-General of UN, Antonio Guterres at the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi. He was received by MoS Sukanta Majumdar at the airport," the Ministry of External Affairs said in a post on X.
The ministry said Guterres' visit reaffirms the shared commitment of BRICS partners to multilateralism and constructive dialogue in promoting peace, development and international cooperation.
