Beirut, March 31 -- The UN chief Antonio Guterres has condemned the killing of two Indonesian peacekeepers serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), following an explosion in southern Lebanon, according to a statement issued by his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric.
The peacekeepers were killed on March 30 when a blast of "unknown origin" destroyed their vehicle near Bani Haiyyan, the statement said.
A third peacekeeper was severely injured, and a fourth was also wounded.
Indonesia confirmed that one of its peacekeepers was killed and three others were wounded due to "indirect artillery fire".
