Lucknow, Oct. 9 -- Uttar Pradesh government has approved a proposal to provide two free LPG cylinder refills to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana during the financial year 2026-27.
The devision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Yogi government has provided free cylinder refills to beneficiaries in two phases, on Holi and Diwali, in previous financial years. This step has increased clean fuel adoption among beneficiaries. It has also helped reduce the harmful effects of smoke on the environment and the health of women and children.
