Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 -- Kerala has delivered a clear and emphatic mandate in the 2026 Assembly elections, with the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) storming to power with 102 seats in the 140-member House.

The ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) suffered a major setback, managing just 35 seats, while the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured 3 seats.

The victory marks a decisive comeback for the UDF, led by the Indian National Congress, which alone accounted for 63 seats. The Indian union Muslim League contributed 22 seats, with other allies including Kerala Congress factions, RSP, and Independents adding to the alliance's dominant tally.
