Thiruvananthapuram, July 19 -- People with Type 2 diabetes are at a significantly higher risk of developing severe and potentially life-threatening complications from dengue infection, according to a new review by leading diabetes specialists, which also calls for integrating dengue vaccination into routine diabetes care for high-risk patients.
The review paper, scheduled for publication in the International Journal of Diabetes & Technology (IJDT), was led by renowned diabetologist Dr Jothydev Kesavadev and co-authored by a panel of India's leading diabetes experts along with Dr Niti Pall, President-Elect of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Europe.
