Chamarajanagar, March 17 -- A two-year-old tiger died after coming into contact with an illegally installed electric wire in Padaguru village of Gundlupet taluk in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district, forest officials said on Tuesday, March 17.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred on agricultural land near Padaguru Adavi Mutt, where the live wire had allegedly been laid to deter wild animals. The land is said to belong to a Kerala-based owner and was reportedly being cultivated on lease by an individual identified as Paramesh.
