Nashik, Sept. 13 -- Two women were taken into custody after allegedly attempting to steal silver jewellery worth around Rs1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh from a jewellery store in Nashik's Ashok Nagar area, police said.
The incident took place at Madurai Jewellers and was foiled after shop employees noticed the suspected theft attempt. The incident was captured on CCTV.
Following the incident, a team from Satpur police station reached the store and took the two women into custody.
The police team included Head Constable Deepak Kharpade and personnel Ajay Sasane, Sachin Ajabe, Sonu Khade and Amol More.
