Kolkata, June 7 -- Two Panchayat members, both Trinamool Congress leaders, were arrested on Saturday for allegedly hoarding government relief materials in West Bengal's Hooghly district.
The arrested persons, Mohan Mandal and Vishnu Mandal, were members of Rajyadharpur Gram Panchayat.
They will be presented before the court tomorrow with an application for seven days police remand.
The arrests were made based on allegations that government relief materials were found in two Trinamool Congress party offices.
The items identified are: buckets, mosquito nets, white cloth and blankets.
