Malerkotla, March 29 -- In a major security breakthrough, a joint operation by the Punjab Police and the Jammu and Kashmir Police led to the arrest of two suspected terrorists from Sherwani Kote village in Malerkotla district of Punjab. The accused had reportedly been living in the area for nearly five years, posing as daily-wage labourers.

According to initial information, the arrested individuals have been identified as Abbu Gaba and Usman. Preliminary investigations suggest that both were linked to a terror network operating in Jammu and Kashmir and had been on the radar of security agencies for a considerable period.
