Kangra, May 10 -- Two persons from Punjab were arrested after police recovered suspected heroin from their possession in Kangra district, police said on Saturday.
Kangra district superintendent of police Ashok Rattan told UNI that the incident took place on May 8 at Tikka Gajred under the jurisdiction of Kangra Police Station.
He said that the accused have been identified as Paramjeet Singh, a resident of Nachauchakk Gharota in Pathankot district, and Hasan Ghulam, a resident of Chamunda Devi village in Amritsar district of Punjab.
Police recovered 7.89 grams of chitta (heroin) from their possession during the operation.
