Agartala, Nov. 4 -- Tripura police produced two prime accused in the two months old mob lynching of a 46-year-old cattle trader in Khowai district today seeking their remand, who had surrendered last evening to police after failing to secure anticipatory bail.
Police said that Prasenjit Majumdar and Sanjay Debnath, both residents of Ghilatali, surrendered at Kalyanpur police station. Police said they had been absconding since the incident happened on Sept 1, and allegedly tried to flee the state. They surrendered after the Sessions Court and High Court declined their anticipatory bail pleas.
Two other accused, Ajit Debnath and Dilu Das, had already been arrested.
