Shillong, Feb. 11 -- Two more coal mine owners were arrested in connection with the recent Mynsgat-Thangsko coal mining blast that claimed the lives of 30 in Meghalaya's East Jaintia Hills district, police said on Wednesday.

Process Dkhar alias Prakash, a resident of Sutnga village in East Jaintia Hills, is the actual owner of the mine where the dynamite blast occurred on February 5, Vikash Kumar, the district police chief of East Jaintia Hills, said.

He said the other arrested person identified as Tensing Suchiang of Umlawang village, East Jaintia Hills, is the manager of operations for the illegal mining and transportation of coal.
