Satish SethKaithal, April 25 -- Under Haryana Police's "Operation Smile" campaign, two minor children were rescued and reunited with their family within just two hours after being found abandoned in the city.

According to a police spokesperson, a team led by ASI Subhash, under the supervision of City Police Station Incharge Inspector Geeta, was on patrol near the Cheeka Bypass area on Saturday afternoon when they spotted two children, aged 8 and 5, crying and alone.

After calming them down, the children told police they had come to visit their aunt in Kaithal but had lost their way. They identified themselves as residents of Narwana in Jind district.
