Mumbai, Sept. 8 -- The Mumbai police said here on Tuesday that two men were detained after they attempted to breach the security cordon at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) on September 7, a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to inaugurate the 'Global Fintech Fest 2026' at the venue.

Those arrested have been identified as one Rohan Parekh and another person posing as his bodyguard, the police stated.

Allegedly, Parekh carried a fake identity card supposedly issued by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and also claimed to be a PMO official, while a gun was recovered from the person accompanying him, who claimed to be his "bodyguard".
