Imphal, Sept. 2 -- The 8th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly commenced on Wednesday with the two legislators from the Kuki-Zo community attending in person for the first time in over three years since May 2023 clash.
Haokholet Kipgen, MLA of Saitu Assembly constituency and Kimneo Haokip Hangshing, MLA of Saikul constituency were physically present during the first sitting of the session. Their attendance comes after a gap of three and a half years, during which representatives from both the communities had not physically participated in person in the House proceedings.
