Kannur, Aug. 24 -- Two persons were killed when a gas tanker collided with a lorry that had stopped on the roadside for repairs on the Pilathara-Pappinisseri road in Kannur district early Monday, police said.
The accident occurred near Pilathara when the tanker crashed into the stationary lorry, killing two persons who were engaged in repairing the vehicle. The impact was severe, leaving the victims trapped in the lorry.
The deceased were reportedly the persons who had been carrying out the repair work on the lorry. Their bodies were recovered from the damaged vehicle following the accident.
