MISHAP TN CRACKER UNIT BLASTChennai, April 25 -- Two employees were killed and one sustained injuries in a blast at a cracker manufcturing unitnear Cumbum in southern Theni district of Tamil Nadu today.
The blast occurred at Lakshmi cracker manufacturing unit, which had stopped making fire crackers during the last few days and was used as godown to store the chemicals used for making crackers.
The unit was shut for the last days in view of the elections and holiday declared for its workers.
When three employees opened in today morning as usual, the blast occurred suddenly killing two of its employyes Deenadayalan and Surya on the spot.
