Imphal, Nov. 5 -- Manipur Police arrested two inter-state drug peddlers and seized around 2 kilogram of brown sugar during an operation conducted at Sekmai Pangaltabi area under Sekmai Police Station in Imphal West district yesterday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Md. Mustakim of Lilong Lou Manga and Umar Khan of Lilong Chingkham Maning, both from Thoubal district. The duo was apprehended while attempting to transport the contraband substance.
In a separate operation on the same day, Security Forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from Uran Chiru village and its adjoining areas under Irilbung Police Station in Imphal East district.
