Burdwan, Aug. 28 -- Two workers from Bengal engaged in hydropower projects in Nepal's Rasuwa remain untraced even after 48 hours of the flash flood disaster that washed away a bridge, video of which has gone viral.
Sandip Kumar Garai, a resident of Shimdal village in East Burdwan, was deployed at the Rasuwa project in 2019 as store manager at the Trishuli power plant project in Rasuwa.
His wife Tithi Garai said, "Like every day, we spoke around 8:10 am on Wednesday. He was at his office close to the bridge then. After that, there is no trace of him."She further stated, "We are all worried about him."Communication snapped after Wednesday morning and Sandip's phone has remained switched off since the afternoon hours, Tithi said.
