Gadag, Oct. 27 -- The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel of South Western Railway seized 6.465 kg of ganja valued at about Rs 6.46 lakh and arrested two persons at Gadag railway station during a special drive under Operation "NARCOS", officials said today.

The RPF staff at Platform No. 1 noticed two youth aged around 20 years, both residents of Dharwad district, carrying two backpack bags in a suspicious manner. On questioning and checking the bags, two taped bundles suspected to contain dry ganja were found. The Excise Department was informed and an Excise Sub-Inspector from Gadag Range reached the spot.
