New Delhi, Nov. 16 -- The Delhi Police Crime Branch announced on Sunday that they have busted a drug syndicate and arrested two of its members for allegedly supplying heroin worth approximately Rs 30 lakh.
The police confirmed that 282 grams of heroin were recovered during the operation.
The accused have been identified as Firoz (22) and Sompal (26).
According to officials, acting on a tip-off, Firoz was arrested in the Shastri Park area when he arrived to meet an associate.
During interrogation, Firoz disclosed that he had been procuring heroin from suppliers in Uttar Pradesh and delivering it to buyers in Delhi. He also revealed the identity of his associate, Sompal, who was sourcing the narcotics from Bareilly.
