Chandigarh, Aug. 5 -- Security was tightened at two private schools in Punjab's Gurdaspur district on Wednesday after authorities received an email threatening to blow up the campuses. Police carried out extensive searches but said no suspicious object was found.

The threat email was sent to Convent Little Flower School and Delhi Public School, prompting an immediate response from the district police. The email purportedly claimed to be from "Khalistan National Army" and "Babbar Khalsa Parmar (Canada)". The authenticity of the claim is under investigation, and police have not confirmed the identity of those behind the message.
