Kolkata, Oct. 28 -- Two cousin brothers, identified as Shuvam Shaw (25) and Sujan Shaw (18) feared killed as they were swept away by undercurrent while taking bath at the Bhagirathi river to mark Chhath Puja in West Bengal's Bardhaman district, police said today.
Even hours after the search operation by the divers from the Disaster management, which also deployed speedboats, the rescuers could not locate the two missing brothers at Debraj Ghat in Katwa in East Bardhaman.
Police said the Shaw family members of National Para under Katwa arrived at the Ghat early in the morning to offer prayer to Sun God to mark the ending of the Chhath Puja. While the elderly people finished their ritual and bathing, the two cousins got down to take a bath....
