Srinagar, Aug. 13 -- Two back-to-back earthquakes struck the Ladakh region on Thursday morning, triggering mild tremors across several parts of Kashmir and Ladakh, officials said.
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the first earthquake, measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale, struck at 6:05 am. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, with its epicentre located at 36.881 degrees N latitude and 74.402 degrees E longitude in the Leh-Ladakh region.
