Aizawl, Aug. 20 -- Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of 15-year-old girl of Mualthuam North village in Lunglei district, whose body was found inside a school compound on August 5.
The arrests were made after the Lunglei Police Special Investigation Team (SIT), which has been investigating the case since its registration, examined digital and forensic evidence and questioned several people in connection with the case.
Police identified the arrested persons as Denghmingthanga, 20, and Lalneihkima, 34, both residents of Mualthuam North. They had been called for questioning several times during the investigation and were taken into custody at around 1 pm on Thursday after they madestatements before the SIT.
