Pune, March 9 -- Two main accused in an attempt to murder case have been nabbed in a meticulous operation by the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Pune Police, official sources said on Monday.
In a late Sunday night operation, Sahil Mahendrasingh Chavan and Balaji Ramji Umap, were apprehended in the Nanded City Gate area here after the special cell team surrounded their hideout. A pistol of foreign make which was used by one of the accused to fire on a youth identified as Mojesh Shekhapure near the Warehousing Corporation in the Market Yard area recently, was seized alongwith live cartridges and a motorcycle. They had intended to kill him due to an old dispute and previous enmity, sources said.
