New Delhi, May 28 -- The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested former judge Giribala Singh, the mother-in-law of late actor-model Twisha Sharma, after hours of questioning at her residence in Bhopal, sources in the agency told UNI.
The arrest comes a day after the Madhya Pradesh High Court rejected Giribala Singh's anticipatory bail plea, paving the way for custodial action by the central agency in the high-profile case.
According to sources, CBI officials reached her residence today and questioned her before taking her into custody. The agency is investigating allegations of dowry harassment, cruelty, and criminal conspiracy in connection with the suspicious death of Twisha Sharma.
