Chennai, May 31 -- DMDK General Secretary Ms Premalatha Viljayakanth, the lone candidate of her party to win the recent Assembly elections in alliance with the multi-party DMK-led Front, on Sunday said the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of actor-politicianVijay had sought her support to form the government and claimed that had she said ok, the Deputy CM post would have been given to her.

The DMDK, a new entrant into the DMK-alliance fold, won a solitary seat of the total 10 allotted to it, with Premalatha getting elected to the Tamil Nadu Assembly from Vridhachalam, from where her late husband and DMDK Founder Vijayakanth was first and the lone candidate was elected in his maiden electoral foray in 2006.
