Chennai, Oct. 17 -- Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested a ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) functionary in Nagapattinam district and seized 135 kg of methamphetamine, a synthetic drug worth several hundred crore rupees, which was meant for smuggling to Sri Lanka.
According to reports, N Boopalan (42), an advocate and TVK's Nagapattinam district executive committee member was arrested last evening after DRI officials raided his residence.
