Tumakuru, March 28 -- Tumakuru is set to script a new chapter in its sporting history as it prepares to host its first-ever ITF Women's World Tennis Tour W35 tournament, with the official logo unveiled on Saturday by Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara.
The tournament, scheduled from May 4 to 10, will be held at the Tumkur District Tennis Stadium located within the Tumkur University campus, marking the return of international tennis to the region after more than two decades.
The event is part of the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour conducted by the International Tennis Federation, providing a crucial platform for players to earn ranking points and progress to higher levels, including the WTA Tour.
