Tumakuru, July 1 -- The Tumukuru cab blast case has exposed an alleged illegal crude bomb supply network, with police tracing the explosive used in the incident to a supplier who allegedly manufactured country-made bombs for illegal fishing activities.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Tumakuru Superintendent of Police KV Ashok said forensic examination confirmed that the explosion in the June 27 incident was caused by a crude bomb.
The investigation has established that the deceased, Nagendra, had allegedly procured three such bombs from George Niklov Fernandes of Chandavar village in Honnavar taluk of Uttara Kannada district.
