Tirupati, June 15 -- In a first-of-its-kind initiative in the temple sector, after a spate of controversies over adulterated Laddus, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI), Mysuru, to strengthen food safety, quality and nutritional standards in the preparation and distribution of Srivari prasadam and other food offerings.
The agreement was signed during the two-day RISE Conclave 2026 (Research, Innovation, Start-ups and Entrepreneurship) held in Bengaluru in the presence of union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi, the TTD said in a release here on Monday.
