Tirumala, Sept. 15 -- The long-pending issue of house sites for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) employees is set to move forward following Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's positive response to the proposal, TTD Chairman B R Naidu said on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media after a meeting with TTD Board members and employees' union leaders at his camp office here, the Chairman said a special sub-committee had examined the proposal, involving an estimated expenditure of Rs 230 crore.

The committee submitted a comprehensive report, which was unanimously approved by the TTD Board, he said.

The proposal was recently discussed with the Chief Minister when he was invited to attend the annual Brahmotsavams.
