Tirupati, Oct. 14 -- Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Wednesday clarified that there was no shortage of agarbathi packs for devotees during the ongoing Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams, with 1.30 lakh packs currently in stock.
Dismissing social media reports claiming that the agarbathi manufacturing unit at the SV Gosamrakshana Shala in Tirupati had been closed, TTD said the reports were false and production was continuing as usual.
The five-and-a-half-year contract with Bengaluru-based Darshan International had ended, but it was extended until October 31, 2026, to ensure an uninterrupted supply of agarbathis, the temple administration said in a release.
