Washington/New Delhi, March 2 -- US President Donald Trump on Sunday warned that military strikes on Iran would continue until all of Washington's objectives were achieved, vowing to avenge the deaths of three American soldiers.
Trump's remarks came amid a sharp escalation in hostilities after Iran launched missiles and drones targeting the United Arab Emirates and other Gulf states hosting US military bases. The Iranian action was described as retaliation for earlier joint attacks by the United States and Israel.
The US military said it has struck more than 1,000 targets inside Iran over the past 24 hours, following a major coordinated assault with Israel.
