Washington/Tehran, April 7 -- In a dramatic escalation, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened to destroy the "whole civilisation" of Iran, unless it agrees to Washington's terms and reopens the Strait of Hormuz by 8pm ET.
Taking to his social media platform Truth Social, Trump issued his starkest warning yet, and wrote "A whole civilisation will die tonight, never to be brought back again.
