Davos, Jan. 22 -- US President Donald Trump, inaugurating his so-called Board of Peace, signed the founding charter of the multi-national body today, with leaders from more than 20 other countries in attendance, during the signing event in Davos, Switzerland.
While offering a few details over its operational mandate, and what it intends to do, Trump had earlier said that he would like the Board to work alongside the UN to ensure lasting peace in the Middle East, whilst vaguely hinting at other goals.
Announced last year as part of the US-brokered Gaza peace plan, the Board of Peace has officially been framed as an international body which will be chaired by POTUS to oversee the reconstruction of the war-ravaged Palestinian enclave.
