Washington, Aug. 10 -- President Donald Trump said the United States is "semi-negotiating" with Iran, while signaling that Washington is relying primarily on economic pressure to push Tehran toward an agreement.
In a phone interview with Axios, Trump said the US is "low-keying" negotiations with Iran and suggested that the country's worsening economic situation could force its leaders to compromise.
"We are only semi-negotiating with them. We are just watching Iran with its huge inflation and the fact that they have no money," Trump said. "It will work out. It always works out.
