Washington, Sept. 23 -- US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace is set to unveil a six-month, $2.45 billion recovery plan for Gaza at a meeting of its members on Wednesday, outlining a 66-project programme covering housing, infrastructure, economic recovery and security.
The proposal is the result of about a year of work by officials from the 28-member Board of Peace and the Palestinian technocratic government.
A Board of Peace official said the plan was designed to establish a functioning administration and economy in Gaza while addressing the scale of destruction caused by the war.
For the programme to move ahead, however, the Board of Peace still needs the total cooperation of Israel and Hamas - itself a highly difficult prospect....
