Washington, Sept. 3 -- US President Donald Trump's face is now an iconic highlight of american currency as his portrait now features on the new $1 coins, making Trump the first ever living president in US history to have his likeness minted on real money.
The coin was launched on Wednesday with Trump's portrait alongside the words "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST", reports BBC.
According to US Mint, the coins were not being put into circulation, but they may be used as legal tender. Despite their official $1 face value, they are being marketed primarily as collectors' items.
The coins were priced at $61 for a roll of 25 and $154.50 for a bag of 100. Within hours of going on sale, the Mint's website listed them as "not currently in stock". ...
