Washington, Aug. 31 -- Over a 10-day period, the Trump administration deported more than 100 people from Afghanistan, Cuba, Nicaragua and other countries to eight African nations, expanding its use of so-called "third country" deportation arrangements, according to internal US government documents obtained by CBS News.
The documents show that three Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation flights carried dozens of men and women to Burundi, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Liberia, Rwanda and Sierra Leone.
None of the deportees were citizens of the countries where they were sent.
