New Delhi, Sept. 24 -- True Hope Foundation has contributed Rs 50 lakh to the Army Central Welfare Fund to support Indian Army personnel and families of Nepali origin affected by the recent floods in Nepal, the Sapta Shakti Command said on Thursday.
The contribution will be utilised to provide ex-gratia assistance to serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and their dependents of Nepali origin who have served in the Indian Army and have been affected by the natural disaster.
The Sapta Shakti Command, on behalf of the Indian Army, expressed its appreciation for the contribution, describing it as a gesture of solidarity with personnel and their families during a time of distress.
